Turbo Kit 350z
I just got a 350z today and I was thinking about turboing it, and I found this on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...4506.m20.l1116
What do ya think is it worth the cash? Im kind of skeptical because it looks like a bunch of universal crap that wont work.
Thanks for you help
Aaron

You better keep thinking. PLEASE do not buy a turbo kit if you don't even have the knowledge to know what is actually involved in turbo charging a vehicle. That junk is full of non 350z specific parts. I don't even see a manifold on there. That intercooler is the perfect size to fit on my little nephew's powerwheels battery car.
Search the forced induction forum. You will gain much knowledge there. Good luck.

Alright thank you, I am only looking at spending about 1000 to the engine and it already has a intake/exhaust, so what are some other mods that get me the most horsepower that will cost under 1000?

Okay, I understand people have to start somewhere and there is a first time for everything BUT, seriously these kind of questions are annoying. I am only replying because I am bored. What if I told you to go buy those chips that are on ebay for 20 bucks, spiralmax supercharge anycar for $69.99 and those WHOO WHOO exhaust pipe whistles? You can't rely on some strangers' suggestions on an internet forum in buying your mods (I am kidding btw, please do not buy those moronic items). Do your own research and you have to figure out what is best ON YOUR OWN. Again, check the forums, these kind of questions come up everyday. If you are too lazy to check and want people to give you a straight answer, then you don't deserve to modify a vehicle. Please don't be a FIAL

man oooh man
krypt951, you´ll need around 4,500 dollars in order to make a good bolt on car. take or give a few 100
500-700 for headers
400-500 for intakes
220-400 for test pipes/ high flow cats
1,000 - 1,600 for a good exhaust (motordyne is my favorite)
1,000 for a custom dyno tune
and about 650-1,000 dollars in labor depending on what shop fees are... or you try and do it yourself...

your not ready for a turbo, twin turbo, or spray so don´t let those thoughts cross your mind.
i´m not trying to flame on you, cuz we all start somwhere on the tree of knowledge, but please do research before you burn a hole in your wallet.
basically, i would just take those $1,000 dollars and keep them under the pillow untill you have your plan set in stone on what you want your final outcome to be

I know what you all are saying but, with certain cars there is usually a upgrade path you follow, like with a SRT 4, you can get the stage 1,2,3 packages that are sorta cheap yet provide alot of horsepower. I was unaware how much it cost to upgrade these cars, however every car is different. My main goal is to get as much WHP as lets say a evo or sti, I was just looking for the upgrade path thats all.
