^^^that sounds like a better idea if i dont resolve it by this week i'll see you next week Jtran good thing i had already made plans on hauling it in by trailer!
It would be interesting to see what happens if you try to start the car with an unprogrammed key. Your "spark once" observation has me thinking it's the factory immobilizer. However, if it is the factory security system there should be an anti theft light on the dash letting you know there is a security concern. If you get an unprogrammed blank cut to the ignition key I wonder if the car still sparks once when cranking?
It would really be beneficial if you could monitor the outputs of the cam and crank sensors to make sure the signals are getting to the ECU as well. The easiest way to do that is with an o'scope, but since most people don't have access to a scope that might not work for you.

well guys to finalize what my problem was ..... for a while i was able to drive my car but to do so had to unplug my cam sensor .... which now thinking about it was stupid of me..... after i took my car to jtran in houston he found out that my timimg was off on bank 2 which was the sensor that i would need to disconnect ...... luckily nothing got dameged and now the car runs fine .......
if you recently did any timing work on the car start with that if not , then its usually best to replace all three sensors
2 cam sensors
1 crank sensor

1 crank sensor
So the car starts w/o the sensors hooked up?

The car did start without the sensor plugged in but there's a reason why it won't start .... I got lucky that my timing wasn't off to were on first crank all hell broke loose!!! Just my advice on that.
In my case I had driver side cam sensor hooked up and crank sensor hooked up, the only one that was not was the passenger side ..... Along the way there were many things that could cause this ... With me my timing was off since I had just built the motor.... If your having similar issues start with... Checking if there's a spark / check your fuel pump / make sure ur ECM is working .... And go from there... Is your car throwing any codes?

My car was throwing the codes for the sensors prior but now no codes just a crazy sound on start up, here's a low quality cel vid. Is the starter toast?

In my case at home I did a quick flashing light check but also a ecu reset.
I will follow up when I get back.
I will purchase a programmer and test the bcm.
I have a complete parts car destined for motor swap.
I found my code reader afterwards but left for the Caribbean for a few weeks.
The Z here throws 340 [345??] codes and would start but randomly shuts off completely on the run.
There was clutch work done recently and the car is driven by someone else.
Manufactured in 2002 with 50k miles now.
If the battery is disconnected for a few minutes it runs for a couple days fine.

It started turning over normally but now would not fire.
Right I pray it's just the starter and not damaged flywheel. Really don't want to spend more money on this thing. Just guessing but I was previously running a small Odessey 680 battery that I would have to charge often so maybe it really strained the starter finally making it quit.
