So What Do Cams Get You????
Well here is my dyno with a dyno from a new build lay'd over it....mine is the lower one that only revs to 6500, upper one revs to 7500
My car on like 19psi, other car on 18psi (I believe the numbers here were 560rwhp for mine, and 640rwhp for other car) but more importantly than peak, look at the area under the curve difference....
Sorry for camera-phone pic
Same setups, only difference is BC 264 cams for higher powered car vs my stock cams!!!!!! Can anyone guess my next mod lol

the only reason you stopped at 6500 is your power starts to drop off..... technically you could rev to 7500??? j/w

I rev mine to 7200rpm now in 4th.....but the power is falling so hard above 6500rpm its comical lol.
The car with the cams just keeps climbing...you can start to see where the Intake becomes the restriction....
FYI - these are the same cams SP revs to 9k rpm (but with the custom CJM intake mani, and headgames magic)

Yes, but not all "264" cams are created equal. There is a lot more that goes into it. The BC stage 2 264's are a very popular mild-mannered cam that can perform as well!
Thanks for posting up thom

My peak power with bc2 also at red line 7200rpm, is it possible to do a overlay with torque as well?

I'll ask larry, but chances are he was doing drivability tuning more than power. So no tach signal picking up which means no tq......
but maybe he can chime in........FYI - My HP and TQ peaks are always very close (number wise, not RPM of course)

Was looking into BC Stg2's along with the Tomei's.
Seems people get good results from both, that still retain a "mild" manner in the motor.

There are 284 and 288 degree cams out there too.
It all depends on the torque curve you are looking for, and the low rpm characteristics you are willing to live with...
