at most tracks, like he experienced, he'll only get 1 try. So it might take some luck.

but hopefully he'll nail it tonight

Just saw this thread.

Nearly the same E.T. as me and you've got 6mph of trap. No fair....

I could have told you that would happen if you tried launching hard on the stock axles. Which one did you break and which part of it?

Look what I did to a DSS level 2 going for broke on my last pass. (Would have EASILY been into the tens on this launch...it got out HARD).

BTW - It's awesome to see some more guys getting to the dragstrip with sticky tires and POWER. Too many boosted Zs in the 13s and 14s around here....

I meant off the line, done on purpose. Hal stated he purposely slips his most of the way through 1st on his 9 second run.

When changing axles make sure you change out ALL of the inner CV components. I reused the inner CV parts when I broke the shaft on my stock axles. When I launched with my level two axles the inner CV broke and rounded off the splines on my 2 day old level two axles

Not my picture but it is exactly what happened to mine.

i know what you meant and i stand by that. i cant slip my clutch off the line because there is virtually no slip going into 1st gear with my os giken triple disk. makes driving around town a bit more challenging.

ha, that makes 3 of us with busted axles in less than a few weeks.

vinny ten has the best prices I could find on the DSS axles. not cheap though.
I bought another stock one for now and the ebay seller has a lifetime warranty on them lol

But level 5s will have to come by the spring. Wish the pros were cheaper as not having to reuse parts is best.
Sylvan, where did you source new inner CV parts? do you have part #'s?
