Default Does the Stillen strut bar fit the HR engine? Got GTM twins on my HR. PIX

After my HR TT built with GTM twins, the oem strut bar doesnt fit the HR anymore ; (. Anyway, I NEED a strut bar. Does the Stillen strut bar fit the HR? Or anybody know, if GTM is offering a strut bar for GTM twins?

Thanks,
Alex.

Is the issue due to the engine mount spacers picking the motor up higher?

Does the Greddy TT kit use a spacer? If not, I don't see why it would be a problem with the Greddys.

If the APS fits, does it fit with the engine mount spacers in place?

not only this thing. Also the pipes are too big :=).

Maybe could do a strut bar above the engine.. but rather a bit in front of the engine like aps or stillen.

You could try the Tanabe Sustec. It rides pretty high. I wouldn't recommend the Stillen bar though. I've had several vendors tell me that for it's price, the quality is not very good.

Fits 03-06:

Why should be the boltings of 03-06 and 07 different ?

I don't think they are, but I could be mistaken. I was told that they just never fitted them on the 07+ models so they don't label them as such.

Looking at the photos, I don't think the Stillen would fit. It might clear the intake tubes, but would definietly hit the radiator intake hose. And, I would imagine you would have to remove the engine cover too.

im not interested in the engine cover. Anyway, its only weight. but i could imagine, that the APS/Crawford strut bar could fit, if the boltings of the 07 are the same like the years before!
someone knows?

Supposedly GTM has the new throttle body pipes that will fit the stock strut bar but I haven't seen much of them. I'd be interested in getting them so I could put my stock strut bar back on.

Yea i've actually known this. I spoke to Sam, he said he had a good set of 40 new pipes or something but that he had invested money into them so they would most likely be for sale. I was initially told he would trade them for the old pipes but now i would have to buy them. Honestly i would have paid the cost to buy because its fair he told me i would lose by strut bar but i never got a response so im going to see if i can get a strut bar replacement before i try calling GTM back.

I am having my regular shop look into the APS strut brace. If all else fails i'll be in touch with GTM soon.

In the mean time i am also working on having a front support brace rebuilt for whatever added safety it may provide and stability i might be missing.

any shop that can weld aluminum can remake those pipes. just buy some prebent pipes and go to town, saw and welder. you dont need to wait on GTM for tubing.

GTM re-did the pipes to fit the oem strut bar. Am I missing something here?...can you not order the re-designed pipes and put them on?

Hey Sunny give me a call so you can have bring your car in to fit the new piping.Finlay we are catching up in the shop and it should not be long to do that.

As for charges for the new piping, we never intended to charge anyone we always planed on just exchanging them for no charge, We had the revised piping for a while but as you know something went wrong in production and the did not fit well so we need to fix all them before shipping anything to anyone.

So with getting your can in we will be able to crorect the problem for every one as well as we need a car to test fit, our shop car is complete dissembled.

Hope to here from you soon

Sam

I would have no problem trying them out and letting you know what needs to be adjusted, just don't know if you guys want to ship them back and forth a couple times?
