How does the NEW revised Vortech warranty work?
How does it work?
Is it free or do you have to pay for it? (defeats the whole meaning of it)
Do they cover your blower if it was purchased used?
What if you can't find reciept?
Basically my charger bearing took a poop. Oil everywhere. I'm wondering what it is they will do for me now that they admitted and publically announced that they had batch of bad bearings. Anyone have the serial number that were effected or installed with bad bearings? thanks

there was a list of effected bearings, but it got deleted.
just call and ask.
The bearing failure that was warranties had the impeller crash into the volute. If yours didnt do that, then thats not what was warrantied
This is what they were warranting
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_hI7ZLzdjBQ&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_hI7ZLzdjBQ&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
but it doesnt hurt to call...

did u buy this kit new or used? there is a 3 year warranty on the full kit when bought new and a 1 year on the tuner kit i beleive it is...It is a non-transferable warranty so if u bought the blower used ur **** out of luck..Ur best bet is to call vortech, nobody here is gonna be able to get you a new blower
the bad batch of blowers was in 07 pretty sure and vortech has the serial numbers

OP, I gave Vortech call when I first got the kit from you, in order to verify I didn't have a blower in the batch with the busted bearings, and gave them the s/n number of the blower, and they verified that it wasn't one of the bad ones; you could do the same and give it a shot....
As for general warranty, forget it if you bought it used...
BTW, how's your engine...?

I think my motor is fine. We started it up after cleaning the maf and it starts up fine. Vortech however, has crazy oil everywhere. If it's not the bearing, then I don't know what it could be. The charger can't have just failed all together.
I wil call vortech and see what they say. Rebuild shouold be around 300 bucks

If the blower is rough, when you spin it, then its the bearings, but it could also be the seals because of all the oil...
