let me try to clarify. I may be wrong but i was under the impression that the powerlab kit came with another fuel pump. meaning there is an in tank fuel pump and an inline fuel pump. please correct me if i am wrong. i was driving on the highway when all the sudden i lost engine power. pushed the clutch in and rpms dropped to zero. tried to pop the clutch and restart the car but would not work. once i pulled over i tried to start the car but without success. it will turn over but that is it. thanks for the reply

it did hesitate for a second about 2 minutes before it finally shut down. im hoping it is the fuel pump but would i be able to hear it whine before it actually failed? any ideas of what i should do? i was thinking that i just need to drop the tank and get the pump out, connect it to the battery and see if its working. thanks for the help!

You don't need to drop the tank to get the pump out...

you cant get under.. because its not under the car... its behind the passenger seat. glove compartment ... Doesnt look like you did the install your self.. who installed the kit and tuned it?

http://www.cj-motorsports.com/342install.htm

follow that up on how to remove the fuel pump.

If you havent done the install your self and dont know what your doing I would highly recommend bringing it to a shop or go back to your tuner or where ever you got it installed.

If you have an in-line pump it wasn't from the Powerlab kit. The fuel pump provided replaces the OEM in-tank unit (As Green stated above).

took the pump assembly apart, turned out the be just a bad connection between the pump and assembly. however when i took the pump out the stock rubber grommet that seals the pump to the assembly was torn and broken. Not pointing fingers but I am assuming it happened on installation. Anyone know where i can get one? Just glad i dont have to shed out the $100 for a new pump

no worries about pointing fingers but i remember you.... your installed was the one that tried to blame distributor for delays when he had never send it payment yet...and in the end he got your kit in on time thanks to a next day delivery even before he send the kit... who know what he told you.

Good luck man, sounds like you are close ont he fix.
