Default Anyone have the HKS turbo timer???

I just got a HKS type 0 turbo timer recently but when I read the directions, it says I need the vehicle specific harness?

I looked on HKS site and there's no harness that is made for our car so I was wondering how did u guys wired yours? Did u just get the universal harness and it plugs right in or what? Please let me know, thanks.

most of us know know to boost on our way into our driveways

Like you have seen there is no harness, so you just use the universal one and splice in. Theres a how-to that would be the same for any of the timers

you are using the PL kit right? Oil and water turbos don't really need a timer...is there a specific reason you want to even mess with putting it in? I just stop boosting at least a mile away, make sure the EGT is down, give it 5-10 seconds then I'm off into the strip club

A turbo timer just keeps the car idling while temps dissapate to prevent coking, or cooking of the oil in the turbo. If you are water cooled or oil-water cooled, you don't NEED one, per say. The water helps absorb the heat and is great because the specific heat is extremely high in water (takes a LOT of energy to boil).

You never want to boost hard when you plan to exit the car. Go easy on it the last 1 or 2 miles and give it maybe 10 seconds if you are running the PL kit. Turbo timers are 'needed' if you don't have the patience to wait 60 seconds in a journal-bearing turbocharged car. GT35R's are dual BB oil/water cooled

I thought about this to monitor voltage and replace the voltmeter in the triple gauge pod on the dash, then I realized I rarely pay attention to ONE damn gauge, good luck monitoring 7. I set the Defi's to blink if something goes awry, and check the AF from time to time
