It's hard to guage over a video. The type of sound isn't normal, but it doesn't sound very loud, which may mean it's nothing. best way to check is to remove the COG belt, and turn the Vortech pulley by hand, it should rotate very smoothly. If it "catches' then bad bearings.

I know they make some racket at idle, but I don't think it sounds like that.

yup, sure can. Just contact the manufacturer of the blower and they'll be able to get you started on getting one.

Rebuilding the SC is not that hard, but you have to have a hydraulic press and some bearing pullers. http://superchargerrebuilds.com/ sells the kits, but i just reccomend sending it to them or to vortech.

If it's just a rattle, it's probably the normal noises that the vortech makes. If it starts making an aweful metal on metal noise it's time for a rebuild.

I've seen Vortechs make funny sounds at idle but normal at non-idle RPM. Does it go away when revving it?

There should be an extension hose and adaptor that runs to the back of the Vortech filter. Looks like you are missing a couple of pieces.

You interested in trading you stock blower for a more powerful Si Trim blower for about the same price as a rebuild?

https://my350z.com/forum/turbos-nitr...ale-trade.html

I don't care if your bearings are shot as I'll be getting the blower upgraded anyway...as long as you have the V2 blower and it has the CARB # on it...

BTW, this is what it sounds like...I had my blower fully rebuilt as well...
