Default Running Nitrous with FI

Details:
2004 350z
Stillen stage 3 supercharger
AEM cold air intake
greddy exhaust
ZEX nitrous oxide kit

Question:
I, nor the previous owner, have never used the nitrous (the system was on it when i purchased the vehicle). I am hesitant that with a stock bottom end it will blow some vital engine component. It has roughly 410 at the wheels right now.
Think I would be safe utilizing nitrous with my current rig?

I would just completely remove the nitrous.

410 wheel on a Stillen? That's pretty good.

When u say roughly, i assume your guesstimating?

the nitrous is installed on the car, but the previous owner never used it? sounds fishy to me..

It was dyno'ed many moons ago, hence the roughly.

Previous owner never ran it as a precautionary measure; I want to know if it is possible with out blowing anything to pieces.

Go as fast as possible without ruining motor.
My habits generally reflect that.

id love to see the dyno of that stillen making 410whp...It absolutely had to be with the spray...they dont make close to that even with stage 4, who you trying to kid..everyone on here knows what they are capable of..I say spray it or sell the nitrous kit and the stillen kit and put a better F/I kit on that doesnt need nitrous

I knew once I seen those #'s associated with a Stillen SC, the answers he seek from this thread would not come!

First off you are no way near 410 at the wheels.....and why do i say this....cause i had the lame *** stillen for a long time. You can only wish you had that much power but do not use the nitrous with the stillen as you will say good by to the motor.

Years ago i talked to a lot of manufacturers about using nitrous with the stillen and they all said it would last a few trips down the track but would blow very soon unless the bottom end was built.

I hate to ruin your day but the stillen s/c is a high priced non power making kit.

safer=water/meth..This doesnt give u any power it just allows you to make more power safely by adding timing and leaning the car out more than a normal conservative tune would..

nitrous=power..

is ur motor built? if so id spray it

best bet would be get a new dyno done, then add as much nitrous to get to your around 400 ft-lbs of trq.

That will be your max setup.

Well if I have a radical tune and my watr/meth runs out that could be very dangerous to my engine. I like the idea also of it constantly cleaning my valves and heads.

Just trying to decide... Yes my motor is built. but I want it too last me.. I could make a good 35 hp on the meth (with a good tune, which would only advance my ingnition timing right? since im on SC and can't adjust boost, right?) with the added cleaning of my engine or I could do what/how with nitrous.

What would you do Tyler?

you would have a seperate map for the meth tune just like you would for a nitrous tune...So pretty much you would only use the meth when u know its there and you would be on ur meth tune and if it were to run out would be your own fault, know what i mean, and its not like you would be using it all the time..

does your car run good now the way it is or do you feel you need the meth for added safety? what ems are you using?

If i were you i would leave the vortech kit where its at for driving all the time then i would have another map for a 75 shot or so depending on how built you are for when you need it or want to use it (wet nitrous kit)...

I have uprev via Osiris. Yes it's running well. I mostly like the idea of meth is cleaner engine and lower detonation thresh. Like running 100oct on pump gas. but i'm starting to think I'd get be happier with the nitrous.... playing with my belts lookin to get about 14psi or so at 7100rpm
