Default Calling every GTM HR Twinturbo out there - come in - AIM: We want a strutbar!

You guys know the problem. The pipes to the manifold are too big, that the old strutbar could fit. Lets try to dispose GTM to build an aftermarket one for their HR ttZs =].

= with strutbar

= without

Thanks for sharing,
Alex.

You realize that if you put on a strut bar that high the hood won't shut? There's a reason there isn't one. You'd need to create a special hood to go with it.

GTM has re-done their pipes to fit the factory strut bar. You probably got the pipes before this re-design. Just ask them to make you the newer pipes. See...

^^ Or you can take your pipes to FP to be gently massaged to fit in.

Hi-jack alert! What do you guys like better... RED or BLACK blow off valves? I can't decide! In this pic below these are the older pipes that the OP has.

Keep em red, they stand out just enough to break up the black.

So if GTM can do it, then lets get Greddy to make this change also! Their excuse to me is that they would have to make the pipes smaller in order to make the strut tower bar fit, thus reducing performance. I'm not an engineer but it looks like to me if they bent the pipes differently coming straight off the throttle bodies then they could fit?

Exactly. I dont want smaller pipes or changing them out for new ones. I want a strut that fits.

I'm in the same boat as you on that ugly azz coolant overflow tank. I may just fab up a nice aluminum one if I ever get the time. It sticks out like a sore thumb
