Help, Installed Vortech Kit and Fuel Pressure Gauge has gone haywire
Hi, I just installed a vortech s/c. My oil pressure gauge looks like it is reading more than max, it just moves all the way to the right, as I was warming it up. I haven't driven it yet because I'm waiting for a new belt. But has this happened to anyone before and what do u think the problem is? Thanks

Did you install an after-market fuel pressure gauge? Perhaps you're thinking of the oil pressure gauge, which would make sense because the oil pressure sensor gets relocated during the Vortech install procedure; double check that you plugged it back in.
Sorry, I meant oil pressure gauge. LOL. I don't know why i kept saying fuel pressure. But in any case as soon as I start the car the stock oil pressure gauge moves all the way to the right. I checked it and it's plugged in. I was wondering if this is normal or if the sensor is damaged. With the vortech kit, included is a tee that extends the oil pressure gauge and in the T is the oil line in to the supercharger. Any help is appreciated. thanks.
If it pegs to 120 and stays there you have a dead sensor.
You probably damaged I during the install. The electrical connector isn't held on too well.
For my motor build I went ahead and bought a new sensor since when I uninstalled my vortech I lossend the plastic piece from the metal part but it still functioned. I guarantee when I go to remove the clip the sensor will fall apart.

Thanks Cux350z. I will change out the sensor on Tuesday when i put the new belts on. I hope this works, I hate it when anything goes wrong. I appreciate anymore input if u have any or anyone else's if possible.
