Smile My custom self bleeding coolant swirl system.

Guys just wanted to share what im running on my car now.

As we all know the VQ is a PITA to bleed the coolant on. I had an over heating problem caused by an air lock (this was caused by coolant over filling the over flow tank when the car was shut off.)

The system I have in now swirls the turbo return line into a little tank that is know the high point in the system, the rad is sealed and a high pressure cap on the swirl tank is fitted.

This system should allow and air/steam locks to bleed them self out to the overflow tank with out displacing all the coolant so the system stays liquid full.

here a few pic's and a little diagram.

The system runs a sealed rad cap of a new R35 GT-R.

Thanks.

Nice engine bay!

Any side effects from having the MAF so close to the BOV?
