Default Wideband Controller location?

Where did you mount your (Haltech) Wideband Controller?

installed mine today in the same spot. haven't installed my hfc's yet so couldn't install the sensors but looking at the length of the wires there should be no problem reaching it.

No, it reaches just fine. The bungs are up there though, near the header flange.

I've got a PLX in the battery box as well. With the amount of cable that comes with it I probably could have mounted it on the rear bumper.

Edit: Didn't see you were asking about Haltech specifically.

can you install/uninstall the wideband sensors with the testpipes/hfc's on the car or do you need to remove them first before you can access the sensors?

I double-sided-taped mine on the fuse cover like BP.

The O2 sensors have plugs, so yes I can uninstall all my pipes with the sensors in place.

No tape here, I used short screws. I don't want it to come off.

you guys must have have different harness than me. my wideband wires are only 3' long. mounting on the battery fuse box barely reaches to the headers, and only the on the passenger side. doesnt even make it past the brake booster on the drivers side. I need at least 3-4 and 5-6more feet to reach the downpipes.

Two most common places are by the battery as pictured above (this will reach for most all setups) or under the shifter center console trim piece with wires run through the shifter opening (also reaches most setups). In extreme situations where longer leads are needed, I stock a plug and play extension harness.

thats why I think I must have an older version. The wire is only 3'. No way in heck its gonna reach O2 bungs in the test pipes. The pic has it all the way stretched (and you obviously cant route it that way) and it barely reaches to where the other side of the tranny would be.

Does someone have a pic of theirs wired in that location with no extension on a typical test pipe bung location. Soldering extension wires is easy just time consuming to do it right.

I just installed my Berk HFC's with the wideband sensors and I was able to run the wires from the wideband controller (on top of the fusebox) to the sensors through the most left wire rubber just visible left bottom corner of str8dum1's picture. The wires are that long...
