a dream no longer
I conceived the Idea of buying a 350z and dropping a greddy twin turbo kit into it withing the first few weeks of my deployment to afghanistan in 2005. after buying the car in 2006 it has always been my intention to put turbos in the car, but for a variety of reason I have never been able to.
the dream of building this car gave me something to look forward to and motivate me while deployed, and now all these years later it's finally starting to take shape.
many others don't fully understand my interest in the z because they think it's just a car, and in many respects they are right, but to me the car and this build represent the realization of a dream that sustained me through some really brutal times.
now that I am married, out of the military and in school full time, I don't have the most extensive budget, which has forced us to learn the hard way many times how to repair and modify the car by our selves. vary rarely has the car ever seen the inside of a shop and the turbos are no exception.
sorry for crappy android phone pictures

preparing for turbo installation

the mostly stock engine bay

partially installed

both turbos in the car and oil lines run and hooked up.
the current state of the car at the moment is that is has both turbos (drivers side needs to be tightened down), injectors installed, oil lines run.
turbos must be competely finished, guages wired, test pipes reinstalled, heat wrap the hell out of anything near the turbos or hot side piping, and double check all lines, sensors, tubes, and harness. then it will be off to have the ecu dealt with.
I also need to add a walboro 255 to the build sheet when ever I get a chance
for the most part the most difficult part is already complete and everything left shouldn't been that difficult.
special thanks to IMONLYKIDDEN, and reptile718, as well as our friend bobby who was kind enough to allow us to use the shop he works at and give us a ton of help. I could not have done it without you guys
more to come as the project progresses.

Most importantly glad your back safe. i remember being deployed and having the same thoughts of getting and modifying a car. It truely does lift your spirits and offers a get away from it all while being deployed. Good luck and enjoy your car....

Will do man. I probably won't be able to work on it much this week or weekend because school and I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed on Friday, but ill break out the DSLR when I get back to it and post some better pictures.
The waiting to get started again is killing me so I may squeeze some small work in here and there and post it up.

did you remove the ps pump, reservoir and upper hard/rubber coolant pipes? You will probably have to pull back the harness as well. Alternator may need to come off too.
My bad I'm meant drivers side. I'm least close with the passenger side.
I'm just hoping I can find a way to put the piping in without having to take the turbo off again. Although I don't see many other options. It's so Damn tight where that elbow joint has to connect to the turbo.
