Friend's Custom Twin GTX3076R Build
#21
GTX3076R thats really interesting, I'm planing on using this turbo as a twin setup on 4.5L inline six engine but can't decide on the turbine A/R .82 or 1.06,
which turbine A/R your friend is going for? when do you think this project will finish?
wish you guys the best.

The car ran just fine on the ID2000s. Idle was super rich, low load high vacuum was tough to tune because I'd run into minimum IPW that the injectors would run stably at, so it would be a little choppy. If I could stay on E85 all the time it probably wouldnt have mattered, but I have to run pump gas on road trips, exactly when you are hitting those load cells that the injectors dont like.
Those issues paired with the fact i'm still pump limited, 7-800 whp on E85 with 1200s is alot and i dont really have anymore desire to push 1k on E85 anymore. At least not in the near term. I blow the tires off my 305 drag radials in 1/2/ and most of 3 with a proper alignment on wastegate springs as it is.
With more time on the dyno, i'm sure we coulda dialed it in better on the 128. I might not have given them a fair shake. More seat time and those quirks would feel normal. But with the car 900 miles from home I didnt want to mess with it any further. I still have that tune still so I can swap back to ID2000 when I redesign my fuel system with a weldon 2345 and be 90% dialed in already.

It would be nice if the ID1600's were made to fit our cars. Or even the 1300's. It sucks the only options we have are the 720, 1000, 2000 and i think 2400 (not sure about that one yet though).
I think 1600's would be perfect for my build but they don't fit :*(

Yup! He is using a Dynosty Spec HG. It's similar to the HKS but a lot cheaper. It's what is ran in all of their new motors now no matter the size.
