Default Friend's Custom Twin GTX3076R Build

Hey guys,

I have a buddy that is just now starting a build to his newly acquired g35. He is not active on the forums yet and wanted me to start a build thread for him.

It is now in its initial stage. He is collecting the parts and trying to get everything together. His good body will be custom fabbing the twin turbo set-up which will utilize two GTX3076R turbos.

The specs so for for the build are:

Engine (Being built by Dynosty):

-3.5L Block
-Darton M.I.D. Sleeves
-Carrillo Rods
-CP Pistons (100mm) 8.5:1 CR
-ACL Bearings
-ARP Main Studs
-Billet Main Girdle
-HighRev Oil Pump
-ATI Dampener

Valvetrain

-Ported/Polished Heads
-BC Full springs, locks, retainers, etc.
-+1mm Exhaust/Intake valves
-BC Stage 2 Cam
-Custom 100mm Headgasket
-ARP L19 Head Studs

Fuel System:

-ID2000 Injectors
-IP HighFlow Fuel Rails
-Aeromotive FPR
-CJM Twin Hanger In-tank
-Will be tuned on E85

Turbo Kit:

Custom made/fitted turbo kit utilizing twin GTX3076R .82 turbos. Will update more in terms of intercooler set-up and so forth as it goes. The turbos will sit were the cats are stock.

-ECU will be Haltech Platinum

Will also be looking for the following:

-Twin or triple disc clutch
-Upgraded Axles
-Cosworth Manifold
-BBK
-A Decent set of wheels with a 9.5" front and 10.5" rear.

Car is pretty much stock right now so there will be a lot of changing going on in the future. Mostly with the engine. There will only be a couple of exterior modifications.

The power goals are around 800-1000rwhp.

Those GTX turbos are sick!!! I have a set of GT3076R with the .82 Tial housing. The true GT30 compressor housing was bigger than I thought I had to mid mount them but they still spool very quickly and sound amazing. I am very interested to see where you mount them, good luck with your build and please!!! post lots of photos.

Thanks guys, he is pretty excited and so am I. The friend who is going to be fabbing it does great work. So, I am anxious to see how they route it all. I am sure it will be somewhat similar to the SFR. But, I will be sure to post up many pics as he goes.

It will be a long process, but I will keep it updated!

its not just a matter of fitting them. the pumps he uses are designed to create the siphon to aid in pulling fuel from the other side of the tank.

^Correct. That's why I loved the CJM hanger because it helps solve that damn venturi problem. I wish there was a way the 300's would work.
