Yes, would strongly suggest the GTM pulley mod...Extra protection against belt slip....Cost effective ..

My last tuning session ended up with 405 Hp and 320 tq. Since then I added the 2.87 pulley, GTM pulley mod and IIRC the 34 cog pulley...Not completely sure of the 34 cogger.. Power numbers ?? Not sure what is meant by one or two extra pulleys.. I have 1 GTM pulley and it came with a Bando belt..

Yea, the second lower pulley doesn't look like it's adding any significant friction over the single pulley...

Welll...they will fit with the Vortech shaft, but they may not be aligned properly, well at least that's the way it was with my 2.75 from 928 Motorsports...I had to machine mine similar to this...
https://my350z.com/forum/8268917-post2.html but I do have a Revup Vortech kit though...maybe you'll be ok... You may want to ask Threads, see if he did have to make any mods to get his 928 pulley to fit...

Yes, They are direct fitments to vortech supercharger kits. I talked directly to their sales department and if you look on page one a member names "threads" has one of their pulleys on his car. here is a picture of the installation instructions that 928 motorsports provided:

If you look on page 1 of this thread, THREADS commented and told me that they were a direct fit, however i might need a spacer to get it to fit properly.
With all that being said, my pulley has been spinning strong for about ~1000miles with no issues(including no-to-minor belt slip). The only modifications I've done was shortening the pulley key and adding thicker spacers between the shaft bolt and pulley (to compensate for the lack of extra space that's included on the stock Vortech pulley). |
I would try to avoid machining the pulley. I had this done and it weakend the integrity of the pulley causing it to fracture. What you should do is shave down the lip that faces the pulley on the bracket using a dremel.

^ to be clear, are recommending that folks shave down the lip on the jackshaft, correct?

Im gonna be honest with you guys, i'm just gonna give the puley to frank and tell him to do whatever he want to make it fit. i am more then confident that he will know exactly what to do with it to get it to fit perfectly.
|
I'm sure Frank can handle that...most decent shops can...

Yes. I run the 2.62 pulley on my setup. Just make sure you get the right rib/size for our applications.
Upon installation, it might be handy to have some sort of heat source to heat the pulley up prior to installation. They fit very tight onto it's mounting point. As well, I had to trim my pulley's key because the pulley is slimmer (doesn't have the excess on it like the Vortech pulleys do. |

Sorry this is slightly offtopic, but how much power are you making with the 2.62. Not many people running that size pulley on the VQ? Is yours stock DE?
