you'll have to be the pioneer on this one.......can't say that i know of anyone that has 10 psi on a stock clutch

you seem to be pretty excited about your greddy.......please be careful.......read a lot about this.......most FI manufacturers have stayed at 8 psi and under........they have done this for a reason.......keep in mind that the parts of the VQ35DE were designed to be lightweight, not strong........happy boosting

I tried to do a second gear launch when my car was stock and had about 3000 miles on it. The clutch just smoked, the tires didnt. Based on this I would say NO the stock clutch wont hold.

If you avoid launching the car, it may last for a while, but a good twin-plate would be a good idea.

I see the ripple effect happening here. The engine makes more power so the clutch goes. We fortify the clutch, next something after that such as an axle or ring gear goes. I have always been a build from the ground up proponent. I would build in this order if you was a bulletproof setup:

1) Traction
2) Axles /rear end
3) Drive line
4) Transmission
5) Finally add the power adder

BTW: I am not following my own advice

You might be quite suprised at how long the clutch takes to grab when you bang second gear at full throttle until you change the clutch. After I changed the clutch and flywheel it occured to me how much crisper second gear slamming was, this was before the FI kit. I am certain that most of the time banging second hard I was slipping a little with the stock clutch.
