Default TwinTurbo help.

i have an 03 350z with greddy TT, with haltech, new clutch..
question:
from take off.., clutch, 1stgear, and gas my rpm drops like its gonna stall unless i give more gas or ride the clutch. i feel like every gears have a pause or it lags. when its on neutral its steady rpm. Is this normal, or what am i missing?

thanks,

guarantee thats it turn it off, mine attempts to do something similar just cruising because of my tires size's if i forget at wot car usually just power through it but im probably making a good deal more power then you, or my system could just be fubar *shrug* but its widely known you can run it on a FI car because you will kill your spark because you will see some wheel slip. depending on tire sizes that could compound the problem.

but yah turn it off, its crap on a stock car, its triple crap on a FI car

first thing i do every time i fire up the car before even moving is hit the button.

tried it and it somewhat makes a difference when vdc is off. however from 1st gear, the rpm hesitates and then goes up to normal.. not really sure whats up..

Maybe they mean your flywheel is too light causing the rpms to drop too fast between gears.

If you've got a light weight flywheel switch back to something heavier.. They're good for NA not for boost

are you using the internal map sensor?

if so, it lags the throttle response for a split second due to the long vacuum line. Either find a better vacuum source or switch to an external sensor.

doubtful, i have the fidenza/jwt flywheel with a southbend ceramic with ss pressure plate. as extreme as you can from a single for this platform and is more aggressive then 90% of the clutchs made for this platform with 0 issue. light weight flywheel and boost problems need a driver mod not a part mod.

op do you have a video?

how many miles on the clutch?

The clutch on this car sucks pretty bad and unless you have an RJM adjustable bracket you have to give it quite a bit of gas to take off without stalling. I had to take off at 2500 rpms with my os giken until I got the new adjustable bracket and now I can take off without touching the gas.

Are you sure it's not slipping since it's new?

The hard to take off sounds like a normal thing for our cars but the mid gear shifts could be due to the new found harder bite on this clutch or if it's slipping when you shift because it isn't broken in fully yet.

I've ran both heavy and light flywheels without issues. It's all in the tune...
