FI dyno tuning
Another FI newbie question:
I've been reading many of the FI threads and posts re: the SC and turbo mods and have certainly gotten the message that tuning is an important step of the FI integration process and any breathing mod, for that matter on this engine.
However, it seems to me that one has to be careful with dyno tuning as the final tuning mechanism. First of all, the airflow around the intake will be very different than on the road. Secondly, the engine will run hotter than on the road assuming it's been well warmed up for the tuning, influencing several engine paramters. Thirdly, there's probaby several secondary issues that will be different on a dyno than on the open road.
I'm sure one answer is the boost gauges that have been recommended to keep track of things.
Anyhow just some questions for the FI experienced.
