Does anybody know if they're using the VQ35? I guess the Options Z33 that crashed in the Silver State Classic was using the VQ30DET that had been bored/stroked to 3.8L. I'm wondering maybe the VQ30DET since it's stock turbocharged maybe it has a stock iron block that can withstand 700hp.

edit: according to Fresh Alloy, all VQ motors are all aluminum.

 

I dont think nissan sells a VQ30DE that is turbocharged stock, at least in any of their production lines. I do know, however, that the skylines in JGTC are running VQ30DET's.
