Default Vortech SC kit feedback

There are a few individuals with Vortech kits installed on their cars now. What are you're opinions of the kit now that you are using it every day and if you could change anything with the way the kit is designed/performs.....what would it be??? Thanks guys.

Don't like the air filter. You have to remove the super charger to take it off. They are still working on my car. I have to take it back to them so they can fix some small problems. Power is real good. I don't know what a ATI Z feels like, but mine just wants to spin the tires. I have 5AT and it spins the tires with the TCS on and really spins them with it off.

Is this in the higher rpm's or down low?? How is the daily driveability? Thanks.

It drives fine. On the freeway you don't really hear it. In town you can hear it. I would say power starts coming on hard around 4500 rpm.

regarding the air filter... Both Zimbo and I have a custom made air filter which was relocated to behind the bumper. The air intake sits where the Injen CAI would sit. Much better design then the original vortech intake.

Yeah I told them why didn't they run it up front like the ati kit. I think you guys have more room to work with. right now i would have to take off the charger to do any mods. I plan on doing it in the future, but right now I have to take my car to vortech and leave it there for a couple of days.

350zer, any chance you can post a dyno?

Actually the G35 has less room so the only option is to drop it down in the general area of a CAI (although mine is up higher and therefore doesn't appear to get much if any direct water spray).

I haven't tried removing mine yet for cleaning but I'm assuming it can be done via the wheel well. So yeah, maybe that is a better design.

The only dyno I have is from vortech and you know the difference in the numbers. No paper, they told me it did 305. The tech was surprised for an auto. I need to find a dyno jet and get some numbers.
