Default M62 Stillen supercharged 350z - boost drop over 5500 RPM

Dear friends,

I own 2005 rev-up stillen supercharged 350z,

Lately i started to hear strange noise that is coming from the supercharger above 5500 RPM,
And when we tested the car on the Dyno i got the approved that the noise and feel above 5500 RPM is big boost drop...

Please check the Dyno video where you can see and hear this issue,

Any idea on what is the problem ?

Could it be the a slipping belt ?

Thank you,

350nis.

Sounds like air escaping to me. Might have a hole in the couplings that gets big and opens at that rpm.

Your car is trying to tell you to get rid of the stillen kit. But in all serious what grimm said, air should not be escaping when putting the car full throttle. Not sure if stillen has a bypass valve like vortech, but that could be the problem or one of the couplers or piping.

I wanted to say bypass valve as well but I didn't see one included looking on the stillen website.

There is an internal bypass valve. I would look into that being worn out and opening up for some reason at higher boost.
