Just looking for somthing simple on my 350z, prob would run it at like 4-6 psi max and just see how it goes.

do some damn research no one gets hand outs around here. amazing 4-5 people a week come in expecting they are special and we will change our ways and just spoon feed them out of the blue. your choices are 1)hack it and be disappointed and parting your car in a couple months or 2) do some research and realize you dont have nearly enough cash and dont do it.

want cheap? buy a damn honda or 240sx

Yeah dude, this will be your answers here, and if you get butthurt you won't last long.

To answer your ? tho, yes I know a guy running a Garret, kind of a hack setup you would see slapped together w lil to no after thought like domestics respond to better, and yes it produces more power than stock, but is not reliable, and he has had AF problems and poorly monitors it.
To save $ and engine life, it is obv best to go w a confirmed setup, the cheap turbo will cost a lot in the end.

Calm down, peeps.

Yes, I would by a Garrett turbo. In fact, I bought two. But to do it right, your gonna need to fork over some cash. Don't expect to slap together a cheap kit on your car and expect good gains and any sort of reliability. There are plenty of vendors on here that will sell you a complete kit that's reliable if tuned correctly.

Unless you have a full shop you are wasting your money buying a turbo and trying to build a kit on your own. YOu will be out twice the time and twice the money over buying a kit.

And yes, at least a few times a day someone posts "should i buy this turbo, it's a great deal" or "i'm going to build a kit around this cheap turbo I bought". Never have I seen them come back and post how great it went or that they even finished their project. They usually end up posting everything for sale after a month.

Buy it! You can get all the piping you need on ebay super cheap. 500 whp EASY with tuning, 400WHP with no tune.

Its funny how people think just by buying a turbo and not a kit that its going to be cheaper lol. In the end when you get all the other pieces to the puzzle including a good tune. You will still be 4-5k deep.

maintenance is not what I'm talking about. I mean fabrication like custom tig welding the piping, making brackets, etc.

The word "shop" is in term for a full custom garage with materials to do one off builds and not a garage at someone's house with a toolbox. Big difference when you are building something ground up.
