Paxton 1500 SC Custom Fab Help
Hey there... I am not on this forum much since I drive a g35 but I have been pointed here a number of times for more technical issues and hope some people here can help, so here it goes...
I am in a position to acquire a paxton 1500 headunit at a very low cost and want to see if I can create a one of a kind SC for my car. I have been told that many of the paxton and vortech SC share the same bolt pattern... including the paxton 1500 and the vortech v3 that is made for our cars.
My overall question is, think this can be done? I noticed that the paxton and the vortech are reversed in terms of the intake and pulley location but actually think this might eliminate the need for the jackshaft pulley located on top of the SC in picture 1. Instead the main SC pulley can be hooked up directly to the pulleys on the motor. Thoughts on if this can be done???? (please no useless posts like "thats rad post pics when done" or "you dumb just buy vortech.") I am looking, and have the opportunity, to do something unique and would just like some input on the technical can/can'ts of what I hope to be my new project
Thanks in advance for the advice. (also see pic 2 for the paxton)

IMO there is simple just not enough space, if you want to use the stock vortech bracket, and stock crank pulley location.
Anytime you want to install a special part, other than stock, just because you are buying it cheap, it will most likely cost you more in the long run.
If you want to make a whole new custom SC setup, that can be done, but not on the Cheap. It would most likely be a Novi-2000 with a built motor.
There is No advantage (Power Wise) to using a Paxton Novi-1500.
Paxton and Vortech are basically the same co.

The revision of the supercharger pulley that you are talking about is actually determined by if the blower is CC or CCW rotation. You will need it to be CCW or you will not be able to fit an intake facing backwards in the car.
