***Updates*** For Drags Jan 2014
1. New M/T ET Drag 3055S 28x10.5x15, had to modify the inside of the wheel well to fit. One inch taller and one inch wider that my last set of ET Streets. Should keep me off the rev limiter thru the traps and pick up some mph too.
2. Line Locks
3. DriveShaft Loop required by NHRA ( was already installed for last time out)

Are the locks to save your rear brakes, or are you having a hard time keeping it still? I always get the stink eye from the pit crew for burning out too long even without locks LOL. I'm sure you've heard it (maybe already do it) but avoid 1st gear... your tires will never become hot enough no matter how long you peg the redline, will try to hop around, and generally be harder to keep still than a good 2nd gear dump at 4-5krpm.
Also, where did you get the loop made?

Line Lock are for burnouts… I always do a 2nd gear burnout. I have a 6 speed and can't hold the car with the brake.
Dynosty $ made the DS Loop, but it's just 1/4 x 2 mild steel flat bar. you could do it cheaper…… just by a Lakewood Loop ($30) and modify it to fit.

ya i was just curious bc you dont see them getting used often. Supras and other similar weight cars use the 10.5 standard tire.
I never bothered with anything smaller than 28" race tires. I could easily roll thru the 1/8th in 3rd. 26" street tires I had to shift. The little extra height should really help any traction issues as well as stay in gear longer. Win win!
