SHE's ALIVEEEEE

Impression: the power come in right of way, no lag. The sound is absolutely intimadating. The blower sounds very whinny and the Bov soudns just like a turbo car at its full boost. Due to the BOV is mounted right on the front mount intercooler pipe. BOV is about 5 times louder than the one on the Vortech s2000. The power is very strong all the way from low rpm to redline. We took it out for test drive. And the car spun thru 1st and 2nd. And the tires on the car are 305x30x19 in the rear. I must say WOW. What a bang for the buck. The installation price is a lot less than we anticipated. We charge $800 for the installation on this kit. If anyone is interested, feel free to contact us.

Pix will be up later

Thx

Sounds awesome!

Just to add in my .02, although I haven't been in this Z yet, I was able to get a ride in a g35 coupe with the vortech kit. Everything Jeff described in the above post is 100% the way it was when I was in the g35 - power was incredible, sound made me horny, spun right thru 1st and 2nd as well.

Okay question time -- for Jeff, or anyone else who might have an answer

What are people going to have to do to get traction in 1st and 2nd gear? Cause dont get me wrong, the power is immense and all, but if you're racing or 1/4 mile etc, 1st and 2nd would definitely pose a problem

Wow! Can't wait to see the pics. $800 seems like a reasonable price for the install. What was the install time? And are dyno runs planned? Any need for a tune? I'm very curious since the Vortech is the blower I am most interested in. Thanks.

NOTE: This was custom tuned on a dyno with the Splitsecond R4 software. This dyno graph might be different from a stock Vortech setup. Also, the air intake was modified into a cold air intake system.

dollar99,

Nice charts. Was the tuning done using the splitsecond box included with the Vortech kit?

Yeap, the Vortech "blackbox" or splitsecond box has a serial port which allows you to plug in a laptop. You can tune the fuel maps and also the timing.

Not trying to step on Jeff's toes or anything, but this should give you an idea:

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/.../merchant.mvc?

Can't link the actual page, but do a search for 350z and it should come up.
