Default High Compression Boost?

High guys I have a rebuilt VQ35de non revup motor and currently I have 11:1 compression pistons in it.

What are your thoughts on boosting with this setup?

JWT C2 cams/shim/springs
Wiseco 11:1 pistons
Eagle Rods
HR Gasket Mod
ACL Engine Bearings
Z1 Viton Valve Seals
ARP L19 Head and Main Studs
Balanced/Bored/Honed block
Z1 Shorty Headers
Fast Intentions Test Pipes
Borla True Dual 3" exhaust
Aluminum Driveshaft upgrade
Z1 Oil Cooler
Mishimoto rad with dual 10 blade fans
Walbro 255
Bosch 600cc Injectors

I was looking to grab a supercharger to see how she does with a little boost. Do you think my compression ratio is too high or will she be fine with some FI in her?

Is the borla a special order thing? I've never heard of a 3" dual borla.

They've been around, IDK if they are still in production as I bought it back in 2007/8. They were the best exhaust system at the time with gains of up to 8hp w/ tune

As far as the SC you will be fine if you keep the boost low, 8 to 10 psi, any higher I would think about a water/meth injection.

You'll be fine with forced induction. Depending on the setup ~10psi. I had 11.1:1 and my tuner saod take it up to 11psi.

I am looking into doing this same set up and was wondering how a built block would do with high compression pistons 11.1:1 and a single turbo , preferably the powerlab single turbo kit . Im looking the daily driver street drag route. Good thread!

I have a similar build 11:1 with more aggressive cams. I have seen 23psi on 93 octane with supercharger. You will be fine.

Ease into the higher boost levels and don't be too aggressive on timing...

for what it's worth - I ran a similar setup with 9:1, JWT c2, DW 600, Walbro 255 with a procharger pushing 14psi and I made 455whp...the only issue was the whp numbers were too low...gone turbo!!!

Lower compression is just to fight and progeny detonation really.

It's your call. Appariently guys here said it works. You'll definitely see more output per PSI.. But again the only concern is detonation from the higher compression.

Haha I was going to say dam that's low.

Snail guys at 14psi are usually hovering around the mid 500's..

Some guys hit 450 with 10 psi lol
