Default VQ35DE RPM Limit on the Vortech

Hi,

Not sure I can find the answer via search.

Can someone advise (who is savvy with the supercharger rpm calculator). What is the upper limit of revs that you can run a Vortech v3 si, or a v2 ti to? Are there are mods to the blower you can do to make it spin further?
Does anyone have any experience in revving it higher then the stock DE limiter? Ideally something like 8,500rpm - but would that be overspinning the blower - or does it depend on the pulley size.

The objective would be to run higher then stock rpm on a forged build with either of the two blowers above (I currently run the v3 si).

Also, should add, if we assume the gearbox (cd009) is stock

Thanks

No reason to bring a FI DE to 8500rpm

I'm on a Stock Motor with Limiter set to 7100rpm.

Have a 2.87 serp, with a 34/28 Cog. Blower runs about 64,000rpm at redline. And its a V2 Sc-Trim. I've never had a problem but I would not spin it faster than this.

If you go to an HD Blower you could run a little faster.

People have coined the phrase "over spinning" but that just means faster that the Vortech Recommendations......

For Example: The V7 YSi is rated at 65,000rpm, but many drag racers run it upwards of 72,000.

If your running a built motor with high rev cams, then "YES" take advantagentage of the extra RPM and you will make much more HP. Just need to gear the blower so it reaches max RPM you want to run it, when the Motor reaches REDline

Ask COLOMBO what he rev his motor to. And he has fairly mide cams I think.

Hope this helps
