Getting ready to put on a used Vortech kit guys! And boy do I have some questions. I have a 05 DE(NON-REVUP)
1. Kit has a frayed oil line. Was thinking of just replacing both, can't seem to find a replacement part from Vortech with some googling. Any links someone can shoot me? I am planning to get an oil pan and tapping that instead.
2. The outer edge of the cog and pulley has some wear/knicks. I don't believe this will be a problem, but can I get some second opinions?
3. I wanted to do a OEM idler pulley delete..but I am not too sure if this will work with the Vortech Non RevUp bracket. Will it be more work than it's worth?
4. Stock injectors good with stock pulley?
5. Slightly unrelated to F/I but does anyone know the part number for the bracket that the adjustment bolt for the tensioner is? Or can anyone link me to the diagram and I can figure it out from there. Mine is slightly bent from last owner and I'm afraid that when I remove my belts it will not be able to tighten properly
Thanks in advance and sorry if these questions have been answered already...
3. The idler delete is very simple and you only need to make sure your pulleys on your bracket are setup correct. I will supply a picture of my bracket and belt orientation to show you how you will want to set it up. If your supercharger bracket has pulleys in different places then you will want to arrange them to match mine. You will want to double check what length your serpentine belt is, so take a look at your belt and let me know what the part number on it is.
4. Stock injectors will not be sufficient. The most cost effecting method is to go on one of the facebook pages and buy a set of GTR injectors. They will be plenty and people sell them for less than $200 all day long.
5. Please elaborate. Im not sure what you mean by the bracket for the tensioner. Are you saying the bolt itself is belt? I picture would help greatly.
