Default Import drag solutions drag coilovers

Hey guys, I'm wondering if any of you fellas have gotten your hands on the IDS rear drag coilovers/shocks for the Z33-Z34 yet? I'd like to ask about 60ft improvements ect. They have been on my radar since they came out but I cant justify spending the coin without some proven results. I have gotten a best of 1.69 60ft on a somewhat prepped track and would like to be able to knock that down to 1.4-1.5 and get that 6 second 1/8th mile pass I've been shooting for. From what I've heard from others is that IDS doesn't do anything wrong. I've seen results from other car with their drag setups but the stuff for the Z is very new. I know this should be in the suspension thread but I'd rather hear from the knowledgeable crowd on this site.........

Tell everyone about your car.

The quickest 60ft i've seen from a Z33 was from Dynosty in their Full Race Car with 1000 WHP + I think was 1.42

I've managed a 1.51 with under 600 whp. But mine is a street car. I have Tein Comfort Sport and set it up soft.

I suppose I should give this convo a bump. I'm ready to pull the trigger on these coilovers from IDS. After fighting lots and lots of issues getting this car to 60ft I've come to the conclusion that shocks and a correct spring rate are the only things that will get this car to leave the way it should. So I'll give you guys a run down of the setup and a few time slips. Car is a full build rods pistons cams FP black 68mm turbos. Car makes around 700whp. It's on a 28x10.5 Hoosier stiff wall slick. Stock old shocks, all stock rear bushings, built dif with factory gearing, CD009 trans with tilton twin disc.

I know I need to stiffen up the rear I plan on doing solid dif and subframe bushings and a dif brace this winter along with adjustable rear camber and traction arms. Adjusting camber to near 0 should help a lot. Only issue with all this is stock axles....I'm sure they will start letting go with those upgrades and I'm not spending 1k+ on axles when stick replacements are $60 haha. The slicks have worn very heavily on the inside like they will with negative camber. I also wonder what I should do for front suspension? Since the Z's are so front heavy I feel like more weight transfer would do me a world of good. Front sway bar is adjustable and on the softest setting which has definitely helped with stability on the big end of the track. I need to lose some weight off the front as well. A skinny and possibly removing the front sway bar may help a bit too. I'd like to see 60fts in the 1.4-1.5 range and the car in the mid 6's in the 1/8th mile. Any useful advice will be much appreciated fellas.

Also I've played with the antilag launch control setting a lot. Currently have it set at 4700rpm and it makes around 7-9psi depending on how long I'm staged with it on. I've had the launch control as high as 5750rpm with it making 10-12psi and it completely knocked the tires off. 5000rpm was the sweet spot for a medium track but these passes 4700rpm was the only way I was getting the car to hook.

I'm not 100% sure what the car currently makes for power an accurate calculator says 704whp. The calculator was nuts on last time the car made 527whp on the Dyno. Car has made 575whp 602wtq the last time on the Dyno at 20psi. I had some issues with the tune I paid a bunch for. He had timing wayyyyyy to conservative. I've been learning the Haltech on my own and making adjustments as I go. I gained 7mph that day adding 5° of timing and bringing boost down to 22psi from 24psi. The car responded well to the adjustments.

My 350Z is NA and and Auto and I’m running the 200m in the same times of a FI ride. Is my Z especially fast for some reason? 🤷🏻‍♂️ I need some drag suspension
