Default N E 1 plan on using C02 or NOS to cool intercooler?

..Any thoughts on this?

heat soaking of the intercooler is going to be a problem when i start driving up here during the summer...
anyone else planning on this ? or using a water injection method?

I just used windshield washer fluid in my water injection setup.

I've been thinking about this mainly because of the hot Arizona summers. It'd be much more cost effective than CO2/N2O. However, it is at the bottom of my list of my to-buy list and that list is pretty damn long.

I'm going to run some water injection for when I go to the track. Should be setting it up next week. If I don't like it, I'll just throw some NOS instead.

With the PE's open intake right behind the I/C, Rad you would want to keep a eye on the A/F ratio when you do it if you use N2O. We've used it on alot of customers cars with good results any where from 20 to as much as 50hp depending on the size the the I/C. On some we saw the car go dead lean if the intake picked up the N20. We played with water spray on my 7 and got 5hp and 7ftlb with just a quick 3 buck setup.

The N20 is a waste of time honestly.....shows really good gains on a dyno, since the car is stationary, but take it to the track, the difference will be nonexistant.

If you are going to run Nitorous, best off doing it the right way

I've seen some people take big *** things of CO2, or maybe it's Nitrous, I never asked, and spray their intercoolers between runs. It's like in a fire extinguisher or something.

I'm sure it would help on a hot summer day.

It cools off the air going into the engine which means more HP and TQ so yeah it does stuff.

N20 35 Shot or better yet (for tuning) WI or C02, lots of people do it.

Another option is water injection and by that I mean the aquamist setup to squirt water directly into the TB and cooling the charge. You can run much leaner AF mixtures this way and get more power, plus have more knock resistance to boot.

I talked to a guy with a STI with a big *** intercooler up front along with a nitrous injection sprayer to cool it and me mentioned it instantly freezes the intercooler for a great cooling affect..........if you have played with nitrous you know what i mean as far as freezing. I see no problems with at a start you spray alittle on the intercooler and then 3 seconds or so later you gun it. by this time all the extra nos that could find its way to the intake is basically found other places to go. Seems logically ok to me. Any opinions on this.
