Default A few FI questions.

I tried to do a search here, but when I searched I really did not find what I wasn looking for, so I will ask here...if I am in need of mental assistance, please point me in the right direction [/newb]

Ok here goes, I am interested in doing FI on the coupe, and the VQ35DE is esentially the same...I am more interested in teh Vortech kit, but what I want to know is how FI will handle the large range in temperatures seen here where I live, 100's in the summer and close to 0's during the dead of winter, this is a year round car for me, so its got to hold up. Last week it was about 50 during the day and this week tis been about 25-30 for the highs...so we see a lot of that too.

I just don't want to lean out and break my baby...I am really concerned about that. I am well aware that this will take some life out of the motor, but I still want about 100k out of it...I figure with proper maintenance I could get near 150 or 200 stock, right?

Thanks all.

ITs all about tuning if you ask me. If its tune right I would say go for it, but if you tune it wrong it could destroy your engine no matter what the temps are there. TX is the same way and i still went ahead and added a FI kit to my car. good luck in your decision. CJ
