SC shoot out article in SportZ being mailed out
Regardless of driving skills, the important thing is the dyno, same dyno, same day, same testing criteria.
In addition, you have a base car running the drag so you can compare gain but again, I dont feel the ET is that important. The top speed is more of an indicator. Lanching was difficult with the SC kits. Lots of power/lots of wheel hop.

we all know each kit is tuneable and can give you as high of dyno number you want.....what I think alot of readers wanted to see was what these cars could run in the 1/4 mile based on the individual RWHP they had, and the author of the magazine cheesed this one bad......simply sad and ruined in my opinion the whole article. Magazines that are successfull dont put *****y drivers behind the wheel for a comparison like this. Who knows what other info is fuc*ked in the article.

Ravaz:
I cant say exactly why 100%, I was not driving on this test. I can say he was having a hard time launching as the times show. Carl is experienced in track driving not 1/4 mile. I guess that is the best reason.
I do agree, with that much hp, you would have thought there would be better 1/4 mile ET's but then again, you got to report what the test data shows. Carl did state that his times were not as good as they could be and when the ATI guy ran, it was a much better ET.
To be blunt, I am still frustrated that 350Z's putting out hp close to or exceeding Z06 Vettes are not doing as well in the 1/4 mile thus far. I guess my ego of owning a 350Z wants to see one outrun a Z06. Anyone want to speculate why that is happening?

I understand, I'm just stating my points as well. Anyway, the Z's might be putting out HP like the Z06, but most of them aren't putting out the torque a Z06 does. There's alot of factors, drivers, tracks, tires, gears etc.. Z06's by me are putting down 12.3 1/4 mile times with better 60's then I'm getting. The car is a little lighter then the Z so that comes into play too. As for outrun a Z06 on the highway, I have been asking a friend to run his against my car, but he's not biting, for whatever reason he won't. He knows what I have in my car, knows roughly my times but still won't run me. I'm still trying to get one to run me, only one that I know that will has cams and other stuff and he's laying down mid 11's @ ~125mph, so no thanks
I know the guys with TT's can run with them without a doubt, just doesn't seem to be many street racers on this board.

This kind of reminds me of this weekend at the track. I was running with some Skylines and thinking I was doing pretty good, then, later in the day, a SER Sentra was on my rear and I had to let him pass me. Come to find out, the SER is totally built for the track AND with a VERY good drive. The point being, no one wants to have his Z passed by a SER Sentra. Another point is a good driver makes a big difference.

We already know what they can do anyway just based on what we as owners have seen and posted.

Ouch! How can that be, really slow shifting? After 60' it is just petal to the metal, shift as fast as possible right? Am I missing something?

I dont doubt he was a shitty driver most people are.
I can vouch for Kevin's Z at Sac Raceway, (Fluidz.) Can't wait to see what his Vortech does. I can even vouch for his mechanic friend, good honest people, wish I knew more polite people like them!
Anyways... Just caught this thread, all 3 Blown cars ran 13's?
Ouch is all I can say. Traction or no traction If you don't hook you should make it up in the mid and top end my 60' was 2.1 and I am 12's on Falken 18's! . Anyways don't want to be in a flame thread so I am out. Peas!

It seems like we need to get a bunch of 350Z's together and head out to a drag strip. Especially those that have FI. Some of you guys seem to be good drivers for this venue thus can lower these times. I live in So Cal. like many people. Does anyone know of a planned 350Z day at a drag strip coming up within the next 3 months?

Anyway we can get a dyno-graph from all the cars superimposed on each other? After reading that article the Stillen supercharger sounds more for me, but I'll wait on the DreamWorks first.

So drivers that suck also suck at being consistantly sucky. In other words, sometimes they suck and sometimes they REALLY suck, and sometimes they just suck a little bit.
MAN, THAT SUCKS!
