Does that piping only come in blue??

 

Think so, but Home Depot selss black rubber connectors that I will be upgrading to, or if I can find the connectors in black elsewhere, I'll go that route.

I had a buddy buy an ATI blower only for his LT1 Camaro. e built the entire ducting and piping from Home depot. Ran at the track for 2 years now with no issues.

 

Well just went over to COMPTECH to see the progress and they mentioned they took her for a test drive and she ran awesome they said with ZERO detonation issues, that is great news. They are installing my test pipes right now and will be dynoing her later today. I am going to take a Video of it. Any guesses on the RWHP.......remember this straight from vortech, no tuning of the SS Box at all........I cant wait to pull up next to someone that thinks they are faster than me, I may lose but I doubt it.......

Awesome, I am glad to hear the install is near completion. I bet you will show about 320rwhp or so without tuning. I know that is low but man that thing is rich as sh%t out of the box.

 

When did you order, mine came today? Also, I asked Vortech and they claim that even in the polished kit, the intercooler is not polished nor are any pipes other than the pipes before and after the MAF meter. They claim that this is to avoid clogging the intercooler with polishing compound since they send everything out to be polished. It is not done in house.

 

Personally, I like the blue. You could get new couplers from HoseTechniques.com in alot of other colors...

 

just got back from COMPTECH again......LOL........they installed a boost gauge they had at there shop for me out of the goodness of there heart next to my AEM A/F gauge.....Thxs SHAD!....I also took pics from underneath so you guys can see how clean work is done, pure artistry.........Helix pipes, FMU piping, Oil Tap, Oil return, Bypass.......I looked at Shad's work and went holy Sh*t, he is one of a kind...........Dyno is about one hour away and I will have it on Video.........anybody know how I can get a tape type Video recorder on the web?

Hey teh215...I ordered mine Vortech 2 weeks ago..still waiting....How long did it take to get yours ? sent the ECu out this morning..ordered the R4 software today and have a 7th of April install date.Starting to get real excited about this !!!!!!!!!!

 

5 days, including Saturday and Sunday Avalon rules!!

Hello guys.....I picked my car up from COMPTECH and everything was fine, then when i was leaving it would not start just turned over and over. I then tried again 20 seconds later and it started......drove home running it very conservatively with no boost.........drove for about 5 miles and all of a sudden it started to act very sluggish and hesitate and idle would drop to almost stalling then back up and down and up and down.............A/F meter would not register Stoich anymore when this was doing this.............so I go to dinner come back thinking I will put her into the garage and see if she runs normal, same thing right when i started it up, almost stall and then run for 1 second then almost stall, i gave it gas and it runs up fine but most idle consistant, almost like its out of gas? I asked COMPTECH what they gapped my new plugs at and they said they where around .42-.44...........could the plugs be doing this? or is it the ECU or the SS Box???? All ideas are welcome. Thank you in advance.

I have a USB device that does. Does your camera have RCA or S-Video out. If not make me a copy of the tape and send to me. I'll host in on my imagestation account after I convert the video and render for best quality and sound. Also the device I have allows you to burn the video onto a VCD. Its called the ADS USB-Instant VCD if you want to get one. They are like ~$65. Bought that instead of buying a digicam. problem solved, the intake blew off the plenum...........will fix in the morning, anyways here are a few more pictures of the install.
