Question What exhaust setup for twin turbos?

I'm looking for some recommendations on the most widely accepted exhaust setup to install on a car that runs twin turbos.

Thanks,
VampireG

From what I have been told, a true duel exhaust performs better than a y-pipe. This information came from someone with a PE TT kit who has tried both.

Anything that will keep the velocity of the exhaust gasses flowing quickly. The best exhaust is something like the injen, simply because it's a true dual with resonator type muffler I believe. On my other turbo car I have a 3" pipe from the turbo back to a straight through muffler, no cat. I recently added another resinator because I drove it through the winter. It's loud as hell.

The Greddy Evo2 is quickly becoming the hottest thing to put on Greddy TT kits. It is a true dual design, 2.75inch piping, and under 95db in noise...CARB legal. Injen is a good choice as well, but they are considerably louder once you remove the resonators.

ZRAYGO was the first guy on the boards to get one.
I have one pending.

I say go with Greddy's racing exhaust they are about to release. I think its a single exit exhaust.

Default UR Exhaust?

What about the Ultimate Racing 3.5" Dual Exhaust? Here is Ultimate Racing's description of it:

Our 3.5" Turbo exhaust starts at the Y-pipe. 3.5" single pipe into a Magnaflow muffler (single entry), with dual outlets. Magnaflow mufflers are known to offer great sound. Deep, and not overly loud.

The Turbo exhaust is QUIET as is. With the addition of the turbo, it's even quieter. I would have to say that it's the ULTIMATE sleeper exhaust! Resembles stock, and makes great power. As our car sits it's not much louder than stock with the turbo!

Yes, the kit is able to bolt to factory cats and thus any exhaust system. It can be run on the factory exhaust, but it's not suggested. A small diameter exhaust like the factory exhaust can hold back as much as 50HP+ on a turbocharged motor! It does make a large difference.

On a side note, I'd have to say that our 3.5" Turbo exhaust isn't just for turbo! We gained 20WHP on the dyno with the exhaust as well as our Cold-Air Intake prior to the turbo. I'll post the dyno charts for that later on.
I'll believe the 20whp dyno when I see it, but aside from that it certainly sounds like a good product.

So if it "Starts at the Y-Pipe", that sounds like you'd have to retain the stock restrictive y-pipe. Can anyone confirm where it starts? Otherwise, I like the concept.
