Default SC tuning question...

I was thinking, I know that we need to tune, lets say the Vortech after installation. Assume the car is totally stock otherwise. Then, a while after the car was tuned, you decide to add headers, test pipes, and an exhaust to help it breathe. Would you have to get the Vortech retuned?? Guess this could go for the ATI also. Just thinking and wondering if it is easier to have the exhaust and everything else totally setup before you go with an SC, or any kind of FI, so that you don't have to worry about the car being too lean cause of the boltons.

Pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I am hoping I am wrong, lol.

The Vortech kit runs very rich out the box. If you can wait, just add the bolt-ons gradually to an otherwise stock Vortech package. Then tune it once and be done.

But to answer your q, yes, you'll likely have to retune if you make significant bolt-on mods.
