Default FI Timing and Fuel Control Options

A lot of people are starting to get Twin Turbo kits, by PE or Greddy and people are getting SuperChargers by ATI or Vortech.

I've been doing a extensive reading on Fuel and Timing solutions and many of us don't like ATI's Aeromotive option.

Left is the SplitSecond Box Vortech uses to control Fuel and Timing. Greddy's eManage that controls just fuel, all though some may be getting this to control timing soon and lastly is PE's Technosquare ECU re-flash that is a one time thing for FI set up at that time.

Sounds to me like the SS box is the best Option for both SC and TT set-ups. Anyone disagree? If so, why?

Depends on what you want. Both can control fuel and timing. The major difference between the two is the SS box increases fuel pressure to the stock injectors using Fuel pump and FMU, whereas the Emanage can directly control larger injectors using stock fuel pressure levels.

SplitSecond box = FMU and fuel pump purchase require, cheaper
Emanage = highly upgradeable/configurable

The SS Box is clearly the best option available for people who are happy at 400-420rwhp. Up to those numbers the stock injectors supply enough fuel with no problems with a fuel pump and FMU. If you want more RWHP yes you probably want new injectors such as PE 380's or Greddy 440's, but along with those injectors you better get all new forged internals because the stock internals are probably only good for around 400rwhp reliably, sure they will last beyond 400rwhp but probably not very long.

Why does Greddy and PE supply larger injectors? Answer is easy, so you can go out and buy forged internals and run alot more than 400RWHP if you choose to. They make the kit very expandable, where as VORTECH out of the box makes it good for about 400RWHP........ATI is lacking just about everything except for a good blower out of the box. SS Box would be ideal for ATI owners. It is very user freindly and from what I have experienced in my first 500 miles works absolutely awesome. AEM gauge is GREAT!

Just my common sense in action.....

PEAS!
