Gauges = Pissing Me Off
Alright so I like the Defi's... only problem is they don't have an A/F gauge in the new version... they have some crappy non-wideband one in the "D" version, the older version.
I don't really wanna have Defi's if they're going to be spoiled by an AEM or some other different-looking gauge.. anyone else run into this problem ?
The only brand that seems to carry them all is Greddy. They got a wideband A/F gauge to go along with all the other ones... the looks aren't great - white background, light up orange (or green too I think)...
Bleh, oh well... am I missing any other options ?

go all digital readouts
www.dynotune.org has some nice ones...
wideband a/f, boost, egt, fuel pressure, even nitrous ones.
i got thier boost gauge (the box style, not 52mm round).. to match my techedge wideband LD01 display. i will have install pics soon.
intellitronix (Nordskog) also has a nice set of matching digital readout gauges... http://www.intellitronix.com/prodig.html
they even come amber to match the stock lighting..

Greddy does not offer a wideband.....their 60 mm AFR gauge comes with a narrow band sensor, instead of tapping into the existing factory one ala Defi.
BTW, Defi D series are not "old" - they are a simply their less expensive lineup compared with the LINK or BF series, as they do not need nor use the control unit that the others have. They are also only offered in Imperial units, and are specific for the US market.
Best bet, IMHO is the Defi's, and then something like the Turbo XS Tuner
It not only is a wideband 02 (sensor included), but it also datalogs 02 as well as knock - the AEM logs nothing. The logging is probably the most important aspect of a wideband IMHO, as it allows you to see specifically where in the rpm range your fuel curve is at, and make the necessary changes via whatever foem of engine mgmt. you have.

If you want to use the DEFI-D gauge for asthetics, you should be able to drive it from the "Simulated Narrowband Output" of a sytem such as this. Keep the factory NB intact and add a bung fro the logger and hence gauge. Ialso think AEM provides this tpye of output.
