There seems to be a lot of cars with 4NSXV03.5N7C. Including me. If a sponsor ever need that number, there sure will be a lot of competition.

SHOOT!! Mine starts with a 3 (most likely because it's a 2003). I volunteer my car if you can't find the "other" one you want.

hmmm now im intrigued as to how a particular car gets the code that it has....i have an 04 touring cpe with a build date of 01/04 it has the code 4NSXV03.5G7A if i had to guess the car with the magical lottery winning "C " would be a 04 model with a march build date....wonder if im right ..anybody got an 04 350z they just bought i think that might be the car!

I'm not sure how the emmissions code gets assigned to a car. I would think it is by lot number.

For some reason the state of CA has determined that the code we need had the worst emmisions rating of all the cars sent to the US to be sold in CA. Since it is so hard to find, we are also looking to see if they ever imported one. If they did not, then a different code may be used.

Regards

No yet - The CARB people in CA told Vortech the number thet need for Ca approval. Now - based on this work and their own research, Infinity may have never brought that code to the US. If that is the case, then we get a new number to find a car.

I have a 5G7A sitting on the showroom floor w/ a build date of 10/03. I have a couple set to land June 2nd... I'll see what they are (now I'm just curious).

http://www.epa.gov/autoemissions/all_alpha_04.pdf

According to this it includes ALL 350Z's, and only AWD G35's. I'm thinking it must be some sort of progression. My Z has 5G7A, yet that is the code for the Maxima. I would be willing to bet that it is the NEWEST epa code for the Z's (most probably do not have it). Again, I'll check ours when they hit on June 2.
