Default Guaging NorthEast Interest in APS TT

Here is a link to a thread I started in the regional forums for a feeler on how many people are interested in the new APS Twin Turbo system which is due to be out in September. I will post any new info we receive from them as I am sure they will do the same..

They havent released exactly what model turbos they will go with however they will be using Twin Garrett Ball bearing turbos which are Oil and WATER cooled! AHhhhhh Ball Bearing turbos are the greatest!!!

My best guess is they will be using a garrett gt30 hybrid as to the space constraints. They have listed compressor wheel sizes at 1.88 1.94 and 2.09 " at the inducer but of the turbine housing i dont know but my guess is a hybrid gt30 with a larger compressor wheel . maybe a gt25 with a large compressor wheel but im not sure but i bet its a gt30 .

Aps also said the turbos are custom so im guessing the turbo is a hibrid for sure.

The mitsu td05-18g has a 1.99" comp wheel inducer size for comparrison so the aps kit will probably offer the same kind of tuneability in the future however with bb turbos the spool time should be quicker and depending on the matchup may flow more cfm at any given psi depending.

They did say even the smallest turbo they tested should support 650 hp with engine mods which leads me to believe they are going to use a gt30 turbo. (of course im just guessing)

the bb turbos should aslo be able to reach a little higher psi as well vs the tdo5-18g greddy turbos.

Its just speculation at this point but it wouldnt make good business sense to offer up a less capable turbo than the greddy turbo kit as this will likely be the kit to compete with.
