Default Profec E-01 flush install w/pics

I soon am going to join the FI brotherhood (Greddy TT from Jason @ Performance Nissan) so I started on my install. I wanted to flush mount the E-01 and datalog the A/F and boost. Especially since I have a G35 and no one makes a A-pillar gauge pod. First I cut the hole, then plastic welded the hazard light button & the rest of the hole that was there originally. Then I used duramix to bodywork the plastic. Primed it, sanded it, then painted it. It was very difficult to match the interior color but I think it turned out pretty good. I couldn't remember if a lot of you have done this, but I don't remember seeing many of your interiors.

Looks good.....I see you rejected my advice about not painting the black plastic panel on the right side of the Profec which contains a warning light and photosensor element. Ha! I know..i am a total smart-***!

Seriously...it looks really nice and OEM...you are quite a craftsman.

only question...where the heck is the remote going to go.....did you paint over that too????

I don't think the Z has that much room there. The A/C controls are sitting there. Looks good on the G35

pic 5 w/remote location. There is a blank button between the heated seats button that I will drill a hole into and run the remote wire through.

Take 350Now, for example. He asked for my advice on BOV's...I told him either Greddy or HKS.....so what did he decide??? Blitz!

hey.. I could have waited like 90 days for the HKS but that is one long wait. I've heard the Greddy and wanted something different. In the end the BOV works to do the same thing just by preferences... GQ will call you tomorrow.

How is the visibility? Is it easy to see when driving?
