Default I am buying a new radiator

I have a little under $500 to spend.

Arc is a little too pricey for me, $1200.

PE looks about in my price range.

Well the $600 one. How much more cooling with this provide over the stock radiator?

Does anyone have experience in this arena, thoughts?

Thanks,
Matthew

Is it a bar and plate style? I wanna say there is another manufactuere (Spearco) that makes an affordable bar and plate style radiator as well.

Do these Koyos have the same advantages as those listed on the Z1 site for the PE?

Lightweight aluminum design, exceptional fin design, etc ?

Also, there was a thread on this before but... is there anything else other than upgraded radiator (and oil pan for Greddy) that is necessary in order to be able to safely TRACK the car ?

That radiator looks yummy.

Question, are there any specifications or references to determine, for example, how much more coolling capabilty you'd get over stock? How exactly do you judge the capabilities of the radiator..I guess that is my question.

Core width is the biggest thing that sets these radiators apart from the stock part, and also an all aluminum construction. I just wonder what is the tube width on these. I didn't see that infomation stated. I would say you would nearly double the available cooling with these radiators. Also if the fins are a louvered design helps.

I will look more closely at these when I get a chance but I am short on time right now. I own and operate a Radiator and A/C shop so I will find out what I can.

Yup, greg is great. I'm thinking about that same radiator even though I probably don't need it as much as you

I'm still undecided between the Koyo and the PE. I could get the PE for $150 more.

What do you guys think ?

Anyone think Koyo will NOT be as good a performer ? :]

Does anyone know which Radiator is the largest so-to-speak with consideration to the core. I've also looked through the websites and didn't see the stats for the PE, Koyo, Stillen. I only found ARC which is 36mm thick. I'm actually going to remove the AC compressor and pulley assembly + freon cooler/piping in a few months. Give room to go with a larger radiator/intercooler down the road when the car is no longer a daily driver. Any insight is greatly appreciated

Food for thought: A thicker radiator is not necessarily better. Some companies sell 3 row radiators, and some sell 2 rows as superior to 3. The thicker radiators dont flow as much air through the fins, so some people prefer a slightly thinner material.

I am no expert on radiators, and thats why I was wondering if there was an objective way to measure the effective cooling capacity of these devices.

Curious if it may be beneficial to have a hood duct to direct air from the top as well for the larger radiators, especially if you will be having an intercooler in front of the radiator. Hmm..

The Koyo looks good. I was actually considering the Stillen (pictured below). It's $650 through Performance Nissan, but claims double capacity and efficiency over the stock piece.

Anyone know specs on the Koyo?

Get the Koyo. Use the extra cash on a Nismo thermostat.

Edit: Your cardomain page says 0-60 in 3.8??? Seriously?
