Default Pre Stillen Stage 2 Dyno

Ok guys, time for your expertise....

In an attempt to gauge the gains from the SC install I dyno'd today, I was mostly curious what kind of gains the Stillen Cat Back exhaust were giving me as that has been installed already, let's just say that I was not happy with the results ... 18.8rwhp down !!

Note that on Stillens site, G35 AT Sedan gives '13-15 HP at 5200 and 16-18 ft/lbs at 4400 rpm' and a 350Z gives '16 HP at 5600 rpm and 14 Ft/Lbs at 4600 rpm'. I am showing nothing like these results ...

I've attached AF and TQ sheets, any ideas? As you can see I'm down about 12lbtq across the range which indicates exhaust to me, any other insights?

This car has about 2000 miles on it.

Colin

Ok, it turns out that the dyno operator thought the car was 4 wheel drive ... doh !! Still, I'll get two free runs tomorrow and I'll repost the new sheets ..

So I guess he didn't notice that only one set of wheels was turning??? You may want to find another dyno shop...

Actually it was a mustang dyno so maybe I should have noticed that both sets of wheels were turning, and yes I am trying to find a dynojet dyno in the area ...

The San Diego guys are going to have a dyno day here in SD (thanks to MIAPLAYA and others). I hope to be able to test the difference between the Stillen Stage 2 and Stage 3 Supercharger...will post results before and after.

I would go back just the one time, to see what your gains or lose is . Thats the only way your going to tell . If you go to another Dyno now..it will be different . The guy made a mistake..let him correct it with the free runs and see what you gianed or lose . I would like to know my self as I didnt do a dyno before I did my Stillen cat back.

The guys gave me about 6-7 free runs the next day, power is up about 4hp but torque is down below 4900 and up after that ....

I will post new dyno sheets on monday maybe, I am also looking for a dynojet in the area to get more comparable numbers as everyone seems to be using dynojet.

I am a bit disturbed by jimthegreek's post over on g35driver.com saying that the cat back system was killing the power on his stage 2, I also am going to be doing some exhaust swap comparision dynos once the stage 2 is on.

I'll keep you all posted ...
