Default Went to the track today.

Went to the track today with some friends. It was a pretty nice day out and the track was dead, so I got like 12 runs in. My best run today was a 12.33@118.39 with a 2.1 60' on 19" Volks with street tires, stock clutch and 7.8 PSI. I'll post some videos later and the slip.

Peace.

118mph isn't bad at all. A set of DRs and you're into the 11s.

Thanks guys. I tried to do one run at 9psi but I was going sideways towards the wall when I went into 2nd and again in 3rd so I had to let off. I'll be in the high 11's and 120's traps on 19" street tires next time I go out, guaranteed. I'm just waiting for this stock clutch to finally die on me, it won't die yet.

Yeah I'd say that is pretty damn good considering it's only 7.8psi and 19's

Nice times, amazing with a 2.1 60ft that it will still go low 12's. I saw a guy at the track with a 30ZX TT, had some JWT upgraded turbo kit, on slicks, I let him borrow my helmet. He was pulling 1.8 60ft's running 12.5@ 114 your pulling by him pretty hard. Reading all these TT times makes me want to go FI really bad.

Next time I go to the track I'll run 10psi, C-16 gas, lean her out a bit, and I'll bring some Drag Radials (Steve hook me up )
I always have the J&S to pull timing if needed
I have no idea what 10psi puts me at, but I'll guess 470ish at the wheels. When I ran on Sunday with 7.8 psi, I bumped my fuel pressure from 52psi to 60psi to richen it up a little bit, and was running 100 octane. I'm going for 11.2@120+ on DR's, and 11.9 ~120 on street tires. I think I could have trapped at 119 on Sunday if I didn't ***** around when going from first to second gear, the car kept going sideways everytime I'd hit it hard. Next time I'll trailer the car to the track also. If something breaks then oh well.

Bill, you have the greddy kit right. Are you using the J&S instead of the emanage solution. How do you like it?

Yes, I'm running the Greddy kit. I am using just the J&S for timing. Honestly, I'd probably never use anything else to pull timing again, the J&S is great. This is the third unit I have purchased. I had one on my Maxima, one on my Z when I had my Procharger, and this one. Props to John.

All's you have to do is pick 'em up!

Stupid question... What are you using to increase fuel pressure? eManage?

I know, when you get your car right we need to head to the track on a Thursday after work.

My Fuel pressure regulator is adjustable, so at idle it's set to be 52psi, I just up it to 60psi or whatever.

Bill/Steve,
lets try to get several people together one evening at the track. I am going to CAM on monday to recheck everything and then I'm ready to race. Never been to a drag strip. I want to try on the stock tires first then go again in the fall with drag radials. Let me know.

Bill, one of the things I've been thinking about is replacing the 1:1 FPR that comes with the PE TT with an adjustable FPR. I need a small one (or I need to relocate it) because it sits on top of the fuel tank lid beneath the back seat. I'm going to see what Alex can find but if you have any ideas lemme know.

Mike, once I get everything dialed in (arrrrgggghhh!!) with my car I'm game for a trip to the track.

The Aeromotive FPR I use isn't very big, I wonder if you can swap that in there. I'm sure it would fit.

Mike, what's up man. Was asking Jeff at CAM if he saw you last week, was wondering how everything was going. I'm down for the track anytime. I have to head down to CAM soon myself so I can retune for these 750cc injectors.
