so my greddy tt setup is going on 2 days now...i've noticed a few things, just wondering if this is normal or if something needs to be done:
on startup... at times it will start immediately, like it did prior to turbo install, other times it turns over for 2 seconds and then starts.
at idle...slowly jumps up a little bit in the rpm, then settles down, jumps up and settles down, only goes from like 600-800rpm, nothing major, very suttle.
that's it for now
THANKS!

Sounds like the ecu trying to compensate for the bigger injectors. If mapped correctly, the ecu won't hunt as much to run the correct AFR. Have your installer or tuner make some minor adjustment to your idle map and that should get rid of both your problems.

how does one go about this, plug into the e-manage and tune it with a laptop?
when the profec is in, will tuning be regulated mostly through that unit...
pardon my ignorance

Yeap its all through the emanage. Don't play with the settings yourself unless you are familiar with it and how it works. Did they tune your car after the install?

I have the same problem with my engine starting up. Sometimes it wont start...in my mind I was thinking about the fuel pump. I want to upgrade my fuel pump to the Walbro 255 LPH. Or it might just be my bigger injectors. The ECU is probably not reading it correctly or something, but right now my car is untuned. I am waiting for my E-01 install so they can tune every little thing there is to tune to get more HP and hopefully they can get rid of the engine startup problem.

i payed 1300 for the whole Greddy TT kit install. suppose to be with tuning too but he couldnt tune it cause I didnt have the E-01 yet. But I am taking my car back to them to install the E-01 and get it tuned for reals this time. They better not make me pay for tuning again since I already paid for tuning when I had my kit installed.

The start-up thing you decribed is normal. The Greddy run bigger injectors that produce a more course spray pattern than stock injectors, so they tend to drip a little more at idle and startup...hence..the rougher idle and slower start. I wouldnt worry about it.
