Default anyone else have this problem???

Hey guys, i was sittin in my car today and noticed something weird....my vortech has been acting a little strange lately, but this is something i just noticed. If i sit at idle, and i full throttle it, it wont go past 5000 rpms??? it doesnt bounce off of it like a fuel cut, but rather it just sits at 5000 and wont go past it?? The thing is, if i slowly bring up the revs, it will hit redline.... Any of you other vortech owners have this problem???

Are you in first gear when it doesnt go past 5,000rpm ? How long did you let it sit at 5,000 ? Sounds strange.....Ive never had any thing like that .

i am at idle in neutral when it does it.....and when i am cruising, it will stop at 5000 in any gear. If i keep it there, it wont move past it. It doesnt bounce like a rev limit either. Just sits there.....I need help!

i would say its a fuel preasure problem or a wire lose on the SS box . I see you have a 75 shot going in....do you have it controled with the SS box ? Do you spray early....first 4000rpm ?and then shut off ? strange problem...hope you figure it out

I actually have never used the nitrous since i got my Vortech installed....As for the fuel pressure, i have been noticing something weird with my fuel gauge....I filled it up today about 13 bucks, and it was at a 1/4, then i parked at home for about a half hour and i turned on the car, and the guage was at empty??? then after like 10 min of driving, it goes back up....I am out of ideas, Ive been trying to figure out this problem for weeks now...

This problem has happend to a couple other vortech owners. I recall it had something to do with a defective FMU unit, and a defective split second box. Sorry I dont have a better answer...but I bet someone else can chime in.

If it is a defective box and FMU, which i think it is, since i cant find any other problems, vortech will replace it right?...I literally looked at everything i could to try to find this damn problem...the thing is, the problem is intermittent and i cant reproduce it every time, but it does the problem more often than not. I wish that it was constant so that i can find the problem but its not...anyone else have any ideas?

Vortech was useless when i called them about this problem. They told me to try changing my spark plugs and other stuff like check my wires. Which i have already done before i tried calling them...So either they have never come across a problem like this or they just dont know, and they are feeding me bullsh1t...isnt there a vortech rep on this board?
