Sharif,
One thing no one has mentioned, the track does a a compound on it to make it more freindly to traction, it si called T??. It will help a little.
Getting staged: There are two staging lights, lower and upper. the lower light is pre-staged and the upper light is staged. There are two theories here. Staging shallow and deep. Staging deep involves creeping forward after you are staged until the pre-staged light goes out. Once it goes out, STOP. you are mere inches from redlighting, fouling. Deep staging supposedly drops your reaction time. Shallow staging involves stopping just after the staged light comes on, this will give you a little better E/T since you are actually at some speed when you cross the timing lights.
Tire pressure: Should be a little cool Sunday. If you don't have slicks traction will be an issue. You already have the best advise. Avoid the water box, spin the tires a couple of times in a roll, so you leave the crap on your tires for the next guy.
Octane: THe more the better, you can run more aggresive with timing and boost. As I stated earlier, it will be cool and a cool charge as means more timing. I would reacomend somewhere between 1/4 tank and 3/8 tank of gas. Less weight and no worries about sloshing away from the pickup in the tank.
Have fun, hang out with friends and figure what you are going to better on the next run. There will be plenty of experince there to pick from.
See ya.
P.S. Do I get to avenge the little run on the interstate?
