Go to www.sgpracing.com and see prices from mild to wild. I will be going with one of their long block packages, most likely.

Good website.

However, I think that xsmallpaulx was looking for labor price ranges...I am a bit curious as well.

i think the website includes labor and parts...just subtract out the price of the rods and pistons...and that should be close.

if you really want to. there are definite limits to what you can do with a 2.0 liter engine. i believe the current driveably limits for that car are in the 400hp range, though that is pushing it on your drivetrain. the z can handle 400 very easily and possibly much more beyond that if built right.

Well, your both right and wrong in your assesment. The Evo block with stock internals can handle close to 500hp. You do need to swap turbo's and IC to reach that point, though but it's nice to know the cars infrastructure (forged internals.) are already in place. I know this because I work at Mitsubishi's R&D center and we have a couple running around here running such a configuration. But you are correct. DRIVEABILITY goes out the window once you past the 450hp mark.

It's funny that he mentioned that about "driveability." I have a close friend who's done practically everything possible to his evo (turbos, arc intercooler, autronics stand alone, engine build, nitrous, etc), and once he passed the 450whp mark, he hated it. Needless to say, they got it up close to 550whp for bragging rights and now moved it back down to around 350whp.
